Le Thai Las Vegas is a neighborhood Thai restaurant that is located between Don’t Tell Mama and Commonwealth. Le Thai Las Vegas opened on November 1st, 2011. Le Thai Las Vegas was opened by Dan Coughlin and Shauna Dong have become a staple for places to eat on East Fremont Street.
“These are our neighbors. That’s what we said. In some of our notes it would say,
‘Neighborhood Thai restaurant like your neighborhood bar.’ We have to have people come in and feel welcome,” says Coughlin of the planning stages that preceded the restaurant’s smashing success. Coughlin’s mother opened The King and I on Tropicana and Maryland parkway.
In 2006, Coughlin relocated permanently to Las Vegas himself and purchased Mix Zone Café. In the meantime, his now partner Dong had already relocated to Nevada from Utah where she and her family had emigrated from China when she was a child.
Le Thai Las Vegas will be showcasing the famous 3 color curry (a blend of red, yellow and green curry’s), homemade Thai noodle soup and our always fresh signature waterfall sauce by Chef Dan Coughlin’s. Le Thai will also offer a daily-weekly special board along with a traditional Thai menu inspired by Dan’s Thailand-born mom and grandma.
Le Thai features a 800 sq. foot beer garden that from Thursday thru Saturday will offer a late night menu and performances by local DJ’s turning their beer garden into the place to be for late night hungry bar hoppers on downtown Fremont Street.
